Reclaimed wood products from our workshop
The orders have been picking up for reclaimed wood products from our workshop.
Popular reclaimed wood products from our workshop are raised bed kits, log stores, compost bins and picnic benches, as well as items made from pallet wood, like this lovely table:
These latest reclaimed wood products from our workshop can be made to order in any size up to 7″6″ long (2.3m). The table is sturdy and lightweight, so easy to move around. The benches are made from reject scaffold boards mounted onto reclaimed 8″ x 2″ timber legs
We’re now getting more orders for picnic benches, like this one here:
This picnic bench is big enough for six adults to sit and eat. The top is 150cm long x 73cm wide (4’11” x 2’5″), and the overall width including the seats is 145cm (4’9″). We use reject scaffold boards for the table and seats, with reclaimed 4″x2″ sawn softwood for the structure. To finish we use coach bolts and all screw holes are hidden using tapered softwood plugs. We leave it up to you to decide what finish (if any) you want to give the table.

Other popular reclaimed wood products from our workshop at this time of the year include log stores, like this 7′ wide x 6′ high x 2′ deep (210cm x 180cm x 60cm) version:
This log store is clad with reclaimed pallet wood at the back and sides on a framework of 3″x2″ timber. The roof is made from a sheet of external ply clad with reclaimed featheredge boards fro reject fence panels. This one should be able to store around 2.25m3 of logs, and has been designed to allow the maximum airflow to promote seasoning of the logs. Alternatively it could store 1 tonne (80 bags) of our Cambridge Hotlogs
Compost bins are another popular type of reclaimed wood products from our workshop, like this double bay version with lids:
Like alot of our reclaimed wood products from our workshop, we make all our compost bins from reclaimed pallet wood and build each one to order – they do not need to have lids and can be any size you want. We make the front and dividing slats removable so the too make it easy to turn the compost regularly. We do not treat our compost bins with any paint, preservative or chemicals.
The most popular reclaimed wood products from our workshop so far this year have been our raised bed kits, which come in all shapes and sizes, and which are all made from reject scaffold boards. Here’s just a couple of examples:
@Headway_Cambs took deliver of this triple height model to put in front of the aviary we made fro them earlier this year:
A variation on the theme is this sandpit, made recently for the children’s play are at Wimpole Hall Home Farm:
Made for the same reject scaffold board it is destined to be filled with sand, however it could easily be used as a seating area around a fire pit, as in this fabulous example below:
