The White Canvas Project is part of SupremeBeing’s ongoing project that rejects the traditions of confining artists to a blank canvas and pushes the idea of decorating household items as well as collectibles and other vintage scraps etc.

For the 2013 White Canvas Project SupremeBeing have been working with a London based retro clothing specialist Beyond Retro who have some vintage clothing stores.
They’ve supplied reclaimed Canvases made from old clothes like military jackets / denim / leather jackets etc.

Cambridge Wood Works have supplied the frames for stretching these reclaimed canvases. All made from reclaimed waste wood.
So the idea is recycled canvases made from old clothes and reclaimed wood.
Each artist is given a canvas, then they all hook up in a nice space in London have a little paint Jam and the finished canvases will be exhibited at Beyond Retro, Cheshire Street, 11 July  5-9pm (near Brick lane in London).
